NEW in 2024: “Hell on Wheels”
features PFC Everett E. Jones who served as a medic with the 67th Armored Infantry Regiment.

“Byron Goes to War” exhibit is housed in the Theater and focuses on local men and women who served our country over the years. Beginning with the Civil War and World War One, you’ll also learn about the American Legion Post #209 and its name sake Phillip Cafagna.

Displays are dedicated to specific conflicts including Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and the Middle East. Uniforms, weapons, and artifacts are displayed in chronological order including a World War I helmet worn by Leo Piper.  WAVE uniform worn by Joy Strub  and a nurse‘s uniform worn by Cleo Boger during World War II.

The Byron Museum of History, in conjunction with the Byron Chamber of Commerce’s Miracle on Second Street, hosts the Festival of Trees on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 6:00 PM.
NEW this year Indoor Market vendors will be setup in the theater during the Festival of Trees and Saturday morning, December 7.
Beautifully decorated trees will be on display throughout the museum. Each tree is provided by a local business or civic organization and is decorated with adornments in a theme of their choice. Visitors will vote for their favorite trees in three categories, Traditional, Non-Traditional and Handmade on opening night. 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place winners will each receive a ribbon.
The Byron Museum is grateful to all the volunteers who volunteered their time to help with Festival of Trees – from decorating the museum to staffing the event.
