We are living in an amazing time. Technology is developing at an astounding pace, and has transformed how people live their lives. More than any other time in history, the world is changing at a lightning-fast pace. Yet, as exhilirating as the future may be, we must not lose sight of the past and the importance of preserving it. At the Byron Museum, it is our mission to preserve and interpret these precious remnants of the past, and we are deeply committed to doing so.
We are grateful for donations and loans that will help us meet our goals. Generally, we accept items that the Museum Board deems consistent with the policies, programs, and best interests of the District. At this time, we have a particular need for the following types of donations:
- Military & Veteran Items - Preferably from veterans who lived in this area, from all time periods, including present day.
- Byron & Ogle County Business Memorabilia
- Old Photographs from Byron Area
In addition to actual items, we are grateful for the gift of your time. There are many ways to volunteer that do not require much of your time.
